When we arrived at the hotel, check-in was quick and easy, and the valet guys do an awesome job of parking/retrieving your car quickly.  They only offer valet, but to park anywhere on the beach costs money. Their valet costs are actually on the lower end compared to other parking at comparable hotels in Clearwater.

I was so impressed with the rooms.  They were spotless and everything was very clean when we got to our double queen suite.  It was nice to have the sleeping area divided from the couch.  The tv could turn either way so my husband, the night owl, could stay up later watching sports.  The rooms are modern and bright.  They come with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker which is always a plus.  They have a closet with plenty of room, along with an ironing board, hangers and bench.  The rooms are very family friendly, even though we did not have our kids with us this trip, it's definitely a hotel I would come back to with the family.

Normally at hotels I don't sleep very well because the beds are either too hard or too soft, but this hotel had the most comfortable mattress.  It was firm but not too firm, and I actually slept really well.  The bathroom is spacious with plenty of towels and a tub/shower.

There is a gorgeous pool area outside the lobby overlooking the water.  They also have an amazing breakfast with so many choices from hot cooked eggs, sausage and waffle machines to cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels and more.  There is a business center and fitness center as well.

SpringHill Suites is only a short walk to the beach and local shops and places to eat.  The views from the room's balcony are beautiful. You can see the water and it was so pleasant sitting outside.  We didn't need our car the whole time we were there with so many places to eat, shop and the beach all right there.  If you're looking for the perfect location for your beach trip, this is it!

Clearwater is one of my favorite beaches to visit, and finding a good place to stay is not always easy, but this is honestly the best hotel I have stayed at in the Clearwater area.  The location is central to basically everything you could possibly want to do.  I would highly suggest visiting this hotel on your next beach trip, you will not be disappointed!

AmAlt Health Labs Hair Mineral Analysis Review

7/21/2018

**I received a product in exchange for my review, but all opinions are my own.
Picture
I've been hearing a lot about hair mineral analysis lately, especially while trying to heal from Lyme Disease, and really wanted to get one done to find out if I'm deficient in any minerals and/or toxic in heavy metals.  A lot of people are, and this can lead to health issues.
Picture
I came across AmAlt Health Labs, and decided to submit a sample of my hair for analysis. They make the process very easy and simple.  You get a welcome box with all you need to submit your sample and then results are available for viewing online.  I also learned a lot from their website, like that fact that when minerals are balanced, a lot of health issues can be resolved.  As someone who struggles with Lyme disease, I've been hearing this in multiple places, and it's actually very encouraging that mineral balance may be able to help on top of the herbs and natural products I'm using.  Also, in the world we live in, toxic metals are almost unavoidable and can accumulate in your body.  This can lead to an increase in health conditions.

Collecting and sending the sample was easy and didn't take too long.  You just collect about a tablespoon of hair closest to the scalp (only an inch worth if you have long hair) and place in the bag.

Picture
This sample results page show what they test for, and how the results will be displayed.  It shows the elements, whether or not they are toxic or potentially toxic, and whether your results are in normal range or out of range.  They test over 60 minerals and toxic metals.  The results are straight forward and easy to read.  I like how they use the different colors to help visually show what is out of range.  Once they received my sample, it didn't take long to get the results.  I'd highly recommend this company.  To read more about them and the Hair Mineral Analysis, you can check out their website here.  Ordering is easy as well, you simply order online and your starter kit will be on it's way.

I'd love to hear comments below - has anyone done a Hair Mineral Analysis and what was your experience with it?

Ok my low carb friends - if you want a good chocolate substitute- look no further!  This Choc Zero Keto Bark that I've just discovered tastes AMAZING, and it has no sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners!  It is only 2-3g net carb per ounce, so you can have the whole bar as a treat, feel like your cheating, but still be on target for your  day!  Plus it melts nicely, so I like to add a bar to my morning bullet proof coffee for a nice mocha taste. It comes in Dark Chocolate Almond with Sea Salt and Milk Chocolate Hazelnut.

Has anyone else tried this delicious chocolate?  See below for a breakdown of the ingredients/nutrition facts.

LEGOLAND Florida Review (With Tips & Tricks)!

7/1/2018

If you have children under the age of 12, I would highly suggest looking into LegoLand.  Our kids are 7, 4 and 2, and this was honestly a perfect time to bring them.  There was obviously plenty for the 7 year old to do, but surprisingly there was a lot for the 2 year old as well.

We went in July, mid summer, and it really wasn't as crowded as I was expecting it to be.  We did go on a Monday (not a weekend) so this helped some I'm sure.

What to Do
There's just about something for everyone at LegoLand whether you're 2 or 92.
  • Roller Coasters
    • The rides at LegoLand are AWESOME.  My son (7) especially loves the roller coasters, and my daughter (4) loved MOST of the ones she was able to ride.
  • Driving Rides
    • There are boats, cars and planes the kids can drive.  We didn't get to the cars or planes, but they had a lot of fun driving the boats.
Picture
  • MiniLand USA
    • We enjoyed walking through MiniLand and looking at all the Lego creations.  There's the Kennedy Space Center, NY, LA, Nascar, and much more.
Picture
  • LEGO Stores
    • There is a store at the entrance/exit where you can buy a Lego set at the end of the day
  • Eat
    • There are multiple places to buy food/drinks in the park.  We ate at Burger Kitchen, and they had kids meals that we reasonably priced.  They also have lots of "Snack Stations" with things like Hot dogs, chips and drinks.
Picture
  • Water Park
    • The water park is so much fun.  When you first get in there's "Duplo Splash Safari" - a shallow pool filled with Lego bricks the kids can build with and 2 kid water slides.  My younger 2 stayed in this area the entire time we were in the water park.  They have life jackets available for young kids.  They also have huge water slides on the other side of the water park that my oldest loved, as well as a lazy river that we didn't get to, but it looked like a lot of fun.
    • I was very impressed with the "Restroom" area at the entrance/exit.  Inside there are showers, stalls for changing as well as bathrooms, which makes it very easy to get cleaned off and changed when you are done at the water park.
Picture
How to Save
  • Bring snacks and drinks
    • Water bottles cost $3 each in the park, but you can bring in your own.
    • You can also bring in small snacks, although bags are checked before entering the park, so I wouldn't pack an entire lunch or anything.  But you could leave at lunch and either eat something in the car, or run grab lunch elsewhere before heading back.
    • However, the kid's meals were only $6.99 and we got 3 and split them amongst the 5 of us.  (They came with 2 chicken tenders, fries, a fruit cup and bottle of water or soda).
Picture
  • Buy parking ahead online.
    • You can pre-purchase preferred parking online and save $2 here
    • The preferred parking allows you to park under the solar panels so your car is in the shade throughout the day, and it's closer to the entrance.  However, we saved even more and went with standard parking.  If it's not too terribly crowded, it's not that much further to walk.
    • If you plan to leave and come back, you do not have to re-purchase parking, you just show them your receipt.  However, if you're not in preferred parking, you may have to park a little further out.

Picture
  • Use coupons
    • We get the free Lego magazines and in each one there are coupons for buy one get one free tickets.  I also find them in other locations throughout the year.  These can really help cut the cost of tickets!
Going with Babies and Toddlers
  • Duplo Town
    • This is an amazing area of the park for younger kids, and my older 2 enjoyed it also!  The rides are suitable for younger ones and it's so cute how they incorporate the Duplo characters throughout.
  • There are also other "toddler-friendly" areas throughout the park
  • My older 2 wanted to do a lot of rides the 2 year old couldn't, but he had no clue he was missing out on anything because any ride they went on, we just found something fun for him to do nearby while we waited

Overall, we had an amazing time at LegoLand Florida.  I would highly recommend this park to anyone with kids, and going in the summer was a great time for us.
