Peejamas Overnight Training Pants Review

Out of my 3 potty trained kids (the fourth is 7 months so we haven't gotten there yet), 2 of them still have issues with bedwetting at night.  My oldest only needed pull-ups for a couple months, and then was completely night trained.  My now 7 and 5 year olds, however, are wet about 80% of the time in the mornings, so we have been searching for an alternative to pulls up.  Not only are pull ups expensive, but they absorb all moisture so don't really encourage kids to get up and go to the bathroom.

Which brings me to Peejamas.  They slowly absorb liquid, and not as much as pulls ups, which causes the child to feel the wetness and get up and go to the bathroom.  Peejamas can absorb roughly 3 pees a night for light to moderate pee-ers and can be washed 300+ times, making them the perfect stepping stone to overcoming nighttime potty training.

I was so excited for my kids to try these out, and have nothing but great things to say about this brand!  They're cheaper than buying pull ups.  They're eco friendly (no more throwing away 2 pull ups EVERY morning).  They're comfortable and not soaked in chemicals (fire retardant).  My kids love wearing them, and they are super cute.  The first time my kids tried them on, my 5 year old didn't want to take them off, he kept saying how soft they were.  I love the different prints they have.

Also, as you could imagine my 7 year old has been super self conscious about still being in pull ups.  She would hide them when getting dressed when we were staying with out of town family, and was very embarrassed for sleep overs.  With Peejamas, no one knows she has any sort of protection on, so it gives her so much more confidence.

After 1 night, both my kids got up to use the bathroom (they're both normally VERY heavy sleepers which I think is part of the problem), and they woke up with a minimal amount of wetness.  Night 2, my daughter woke up completely dry, my son only a little wet.  Night 3, both woke up dry! Guys, this is huge for my kids!  We've tried the alarms that go off when they get wet, sleeping in underwear (and changing sheets every morning), we've basically tried it all and this is the most success we've seen so far with any method.  I'm hoping it continues.  Regardless, I would highly recommend trying these whether you're just beginning to night train, or have been at it for a while.  It is worth the investment and will save you big time on the cost of disposable diapers.

Pollen Season Has Started + Airthereal Purifier Review

2/24/2020

*I was provided a product free of charge, but all opinions are my own.
Picture
My youngest son has recently started getting really puffy red eyes, sneezing all day, runny nose, your typical allergy symptoms.  The pollen counts are really high right now where we live.  Airthereal generously offered me their new air purifier to try out, and it's been amazing how much it's helping him having this in his room at night.
Picture
Airthereal Pure Morning APH2030C Air Purifier covers up to 315 sq. feet using a true HEPA air filter.  It filters out 99.7% of airborne particles .1 microns or larger (mold spores, bacteria, viruses, pollen, dust and more).  Their filters also have an activated carbon filter to remove smoke and VOC odors.  In a typical bedroom, the air will be completely circulated and cleaned within 19 minutes (over 3 times an hour).
Picture

You can see how that would definitely help those suffering from allergies.  Not only that, I feel like it's helping him sleep better (probably because he's not as stuffy).  I love how it operates fairly quietly, and also has a child safety lock so they can't change the settings.  Also, it's very lightweight so you can easily move it to a different room as needed.
Picture
Right now you can get this model for just $89.99, plus they offer free shipping on their site.  Also, the replacement filters are very affordable compared to other brands.

Winix QS Air Purifier with Bluetooth Speakers Review + Save $100

11/6/2018

*I received a product for free but all opinions are my own.
Picture
Winix is a company that makes high quality air purifiers, and after trying out the Winix QS Air Purifier, I am so impressed with how well it works.  And to top it off, right now for a limited time you can get the QS Air Purifier for $100 off the original price, making it only $249.99 with free shipping.  Trust me this is an amazing deal.  Not only are you getting an air purifier that eliminates 99.97% of  particles, allergens, and bacteria, but it also fits in with any decor and doubles as bluetooth speakers.

We have it set up in our playroom, where our kids (who have allergies and asthma) spend a lot of their time.  They have been loving "dance parties" and music playing in the background while they play.  I am loving the speaker function.  The sound quality is amazing.
Picture
Picture
Speaking of the kids having allergies, this purifier really seems to help in reducing allergens in the air. With the Fall weather unfortunately also comes allergies, and allergens in the air get tracked into your house too.  Not to mention dust, and mold that can also be lingering.  My kids have been coughing less and their allergies seem more controlled when we're home.  The air just feels cleaner.
Picture
You can get the Winix brand purifiers online on their website here or also at Home Depot and Wayfair.  The purifier has a smart sensor that constantly monitors the air quality (blue is good, yellow is fair, red is poor).  There's also a Check Filter light to let you know when it's time to change the filter.  It's very quiet when it's running, which in our house is important because with 3 little kids there's enough "background noise" going on.
Picture
Another nice thing is, you only have to replace the filter once a year.  It's not like some others where you're having to change them every couple of months.  Also, the purifier covers up to 320 sq. feet.  Overall, this is a really great air purifier, and with the $100 off deal going on there's no better time to get one.

I'd love to hear from you guys, has anyone else tried the Winix Air Purifiers before?  What has your experience been?

Uncaged Furniture: Stash Folding Kids Chair Review

10/25/2018

*I was provided a product for my review, but all opinions are my own.
Picture
I am so excited to share with you all about a furniture company, Uncaged Furniture.  They design and manufacture modular, multi-purpose, space-saving home furniture.  I was allowed the privilege of reviewing the Stash Folding Kid's Chair.  It is extremely well made, and the perfect size for all 3 of my kids (8, 5 and 2).  Not only is it a comfortable chair, but it serves another purpose of storage!  If you have kids, this is always a plus because no matter how hard you try to de-clutter and keep toys at a manageable level, they just seem to multiply and take over the house, am I right?  Any time we can find something that doubles as storage as well, it's a sure win in our books.  We tend to have more limited space, so are always looking for anywhere we can "hide the clutter".
Picture
The Stash chair comes in Navy Blue, Pirate Black, and Princess Pink.  The look fits in great with our decor and can also be converted into an ottoman.  Uncaged Furniture also offers free shipping and easy returns.  Check out their website here, and get your little ones their very own Stash chair.  We will probably be getting 2 more of these in the near future, because it's now the chair they all fight over. What a great gift idea for the upcoming holidays!

Kidlogger Review: Keep Your Kids Safe Online

9/29/2018

*This post contains affiliate links.
Picture
Kidlogger is a parental monitoring app you can download on your child's smart phone or tablet.  You can then see and monitor what they are doing to ensure they are only engaging in safe activities.

KidLogger lets you know:
  • how much time was spent on the device;
  • which apps were used;
  • which websites were visited;
  • with whom he or she communicated (phone, SMS, Skype, Facebook);
  • where they have been;
  • what photos taken;
  • and what they wrote to friends
Picture
What's great is they have a Basic (Free), Standard, and Professional account so you can choose based on what your needs are.  Even the Professional account is very reasonable for all you are getting.  As you can see the app works on Windows, Mac and Android devices.

With the day and age we live in, unfortunately taking these measures with our kids is becoming more necessary.  If doing this could prevent some of the awful things happening to kids, then it is worth every penny.  Check out there website here to learn more and get your account set up today.

LEGOLAND Florida Review (With Tips & Tricks)!

7/1/2018

Picture
If you have children under the age of 12, I would highly suggest looking into LegoLand.  Our kids are 7, 4 and 2, and this was honestly a perfect time to bring them.  There was obviously plenty for the 7 year old to do, but surprisingly there was a lot for the 2 year old as well.

We went in July, mid summer, and it really wasn't as crowded as I was expecting it to be.  We did go on a Monday (not a weekend) so this helped some I'm sure.

What to Do
There's just about something for everyone at LegoLand whether you're 2 or 92.
  • Roller Coasters
    • The rides at LegoLand are AWESOME.  My son (7) especially loves the roller coasters, and my daughter (4) loved MOST of the ones she was able to ride.
  • Driving Rides
    • There are boats, cars and planes the kids can drive.  We didn't get to the cars or planes, but they had a lot of fun driving the boats.
Picture
  • MiniLand USA
    • We enjoyed walking through MiniLand and looking at all the Lego creations.  There's the Kennedy Space Center, NY, LA, Nascar, and much more.
Picture
  • LEGO Stores
    • There is a store at the entrance/exit where you can buy a Lego set at the end of the day
  • Eat
    • There are multiple places to buy food/drinks in the park.  We ate at Burger Kitchen, and they had kids meals that we reasonably priced.  They also have lots of "Snack Stations" with things like Hot dogs, chips and drinks.
Picture
  • Water Park
    • The water park is so much fun.  When you first get in there's "Duplo Splash Safari" - a shallow pool filled with Lego bricks the kids can build with and 2 kid water slides.  My younger 2 stayed in this area the entire time we were in the water park.  They have life jackets available for young kids.  They also have huge water slides on the other side of the water park that my oldest loved, as well as a lazy river that we didn't get to, but it looked like a lot of fun.
    • I was very impressed with the "Restroom" area at the entrance/exit.  Inside there are showers, stalls for changing as well as bathrooms, which makes it very easy to get cleaned off and changed when you are done at the water park.
Picture
How to Save
  • Bring snacks and drinks
    • Water bottles cost $3 each in the park, but you can bring in your own.
    • You can also bring in small snacks, although bags are checked before entering the park, so I wouldn't pack an entire lunch or anything.  But you could leave at lunch and either eat something in the car, or run grab lunch elsewhere before heading back.
    • However, the kid's meals were only $6.99 and we got 3 and split them amongst the 5 of us.  (They came with 2 chicken tenders, fries, a fruit cup and bottle of water or soda).
Picture
  • Buy parking ahead online.
    • You can pre-purchase preferred parking online and save $2 here
    • The preferred parking allows you to park under the solar panels so your car is in the shade throughout the day, and it's closer to the entrance.  However, we saved even more and went with standard parking.  If it's not too terribly crowded, it's not that much further to walk.
    • If you plan to leave and come back, you do not have to re-purchase parking, you just show them your receipt.  However, if you're not in preferred parking, you may have to park a little further out.

Picture
  • Use coupons
    • We get the free Lego magazines and in each one there are coupons for buy one get one free tickets.  I also find them in other locations throughout the year.  These can really help cut the cost of tickets!
Going with Babies and Toddlers
  • Duplo Town
    • This is an amazing area of the park for younger kids, and my older 2 enjoyed it also!  The rides are suitable for younger ones and it's so cute how they incorporate the Duplo characters throughout.
  • There are also other "toddler-friendly" areas throughout the park
  • My older 2 wanted to do a lot of rides the 2 year old couldn't, but he had no clue he was missing out on anything because any ride they went on, we just found something fun for him to do nearby while we waited
Picture
Picture
Overall, we had an amazing time at LegoLand Florida.  I would highly recommend this park to anyone with kids, and going in the summer was a great time for us.

The holidays are seriously the BEST time to be a kid!  I can just remember the excitement and fun we had around Christmas growing up, and it's so fun to see my kids now experiencing the same.   Starting in December, we go on nightly rides to look for lights, drink hot cocoa and have Christmas movie nights, bake Christmas goodies for neighbors, decorate inside and out, and so much more.  In fact I think I still have as much excitement about the season as when I was a kid!

Gymboree has an adorable Holiday Collection to get your kids in the holiday spirit!  Check out some of the cute styles from the Girl Collection and Boy Collection below.  And get your kid's holiday clothes shopping knocked out in one spot with Free Shipping on orders over $50!
